Chris is a Tax Manager in the Barbados office, currently on a secondment from Deloitte Canada. He graduated from the Goodman School of Business at Brock University with Honours Bachelor of Accounting, where he completed four co-op terms at Deloitte Canada.
With five-plus years of practical full-time experience, Chris has had a helping hand in dealing with a variety of owner-managed and public companies. Chris offers his clients a broad range of fully integrated tax services in the tax life cycle and providing solutions to clients, specifically dealing with personal, corporate and partnership compliance, inbound and outbound international tax planning, tax treaty issues, estate planning and corporate re-organizations. His client base has included companies in industries varying from medical practitioners and local manufacturing companies to real estate conglomerates and various multinational entities.
Chris has proven to develop client relationships through proactively understanding their tax and business needs. He plans and leads engagements to support clients with a strong foundation of technical knowledge of both Barbados and Canadian tax. This includes proficient researching, interpretation and application of interdisciplinary tax legislations in a wide range of scenarios, while primarily focusing on inbound and outbound international tax planning, treaty country tax issues, and Canadian estate planning and re-organizations. He also has extensive experience in Barbados and Canadian tax compliance, tax provisions and tax accounting under ASPE and IFRS.
