How to achieve the “holy grail” of mobility challenges – a “SIMSystem” integrating disparate modes of transport

Abstract: Deloitte and the World Economic Forum release the results of the Designing Seamless Integrated Mobility project. The session will summarize the factors related to the adoption, scalability, viability, and compatibility of technologies impacting the mobility sector. The SIMSystem outlines the roles of the public and private sectors such that they balance cybersecurity and privacy considerations with free and public data exchange.
Hosted by the World Economic Forum, this session will feature Deloitte’s Scott Corwin, and WEF’s Head of Mobility Industries and System Initiatives John Moavenzadeh.

Time: 15:00 - 17:00 p.m. (CET)

Deloitte’s support for World Economic Forum industry projects

Serving with the World Economic Forum as a project advisor, Deloitte is making an impact that matters by helping shape the Forum agenda on global issues. This year, Deloitte serves as the exclusive advisor for two Forum projects:

Designing seamless integrated mobility.
Project advisor: Scott Corwin

The emergence of a new mobility ecosystem is being sculpted by the confluence of significant technological and social trends. Fully realized, the global transportation network promises to be faster, cleaner, safer, and more efficient in the future. This project focuses on developing the strategies and requirements that will bring a new mobility ecosystem to life in communities around the globe. Working with a diverse group of senior corporate and government officials representing relevant sectors, Deloitte and the Forum are establishing parameters for seamless, intermodal transportation of people and goods. The future of automation in the financial and monetary system
Project advisor: Bob Contri

Robotics, machine learning, computer vision, natural learning, and advanced analytics are reframing the role of automation in business. In this project, Deloitte is working with the Forum to uncover ways to improve the financial and monetary system’s understanding of and ability to react to automation. This includes taking into consideration automation’s impact on operating models, industry structure, and the distribution of risk within systems. Outcomes from this project can help stakeholders, including financial institutions, financial regulators, and technology innovators, navigate the changing landscape of financial systems and prepare for the new risks (and opportunities!) created by emerging technologies. The Future of Work
Why inclusive and unbiased leadership are imperative

Abstract: Technology is changing the nature of work. That’s why inclusive and unbiased leadership are more valuable than ever in the workplace. About 60% of all jobs have at least 30% of tasks that could be automated, according to the Harvard Business Review. This means that one-fifth of all the work done around the world is in a state of complete uncertainty, and wide-open-minded leaders are best positioned to make the best of this yet-to-harnessed opportunity.
Sponsored by The Female Quotient (TFQ), this session will make a compelling case for inclusive and unbiased leadership as machines cannot replicate the essential skill of empathy. Deloitte US CEO Cathy Engelbert joins Dow Jones CEO William Lewis for this event hosted in the Equality Lounge @ Davos 2018.

Time: 16:00 – 17:00 p.m. (CET)

Shift/Forward
The influence of leadership on culture and creativity

Abstract: A panel of experts will Effective leaders change corporate cultures, innovate, disrupt conventions and myths, and cater to new workplace demands by articulating their values, employing openness, and engaging with authenticity.

The acceleration of the digital industrial & consumer transformation

What worked in the past may not work in the future

Abstract: Linear consumer behavior analysis is a thing of the past. Since no single company has cornered the market on good ideas, all companies compete for consumer favor with the might of their innovative ideas and the value of their offerings. This session will explore some of the emerging technologies and trends that are shaping the way goods are made and delivered to consumers.

Deloitte Global CEO Punit Renjen will join Adidas AG CEO Kasper Rorsted, Lever Chief Supply Chain Officer Marc Engel, and SAP Senior Vice President of IoT and Digital Supply Chain Gil Perez for a conversation moderated by Fortune Magazine Executive Editor Adam Lashinsky focused on the competitive landscape of the future.

Time: 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. (CET)

Empowering Women and Authentic Leadership

Abstract: One law of physics applies to human dynamics: that which states a critical mass is necessary to sustain a chain reaction. The quest for 20-30% women in leadership is not just a good idea; it’s the point at which many believe women in leadership will become a self-sustaining phenomenon. We observe that companies with more women in leadership outperform those with fewer, so building a solid base at the top should be at the top of leaders’ agendas.
Sponsored by The Female Quotient (TFQ), in this session leaders share how bringing your authentic self to the table helps foster a strong culture of diversity in leadership. Deloitte US Consulting CEO Janet Foutty joins Business Insider Editor-in-Chief Alyson Shontell, and Salesforce President and Chief People Officer Cindy Robbins, for this event hosted in the Equality Lounge @ Davos 2018.

Time: 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. (CET)

Business Reframed
Sensing shifts and shaping an unbiased future

Abstract: The future of work is being shaped by cognitive analytics and artificial intelligence, but it’s also the result of experimenting with talent models and exploring new ways of working. The future demands that we all change – individuals and institutions alike. Change fosters fear in many; we see it differently.
Deloitte US CEO Cathy Engelbert will join leaders from Catalyst and Cisco to convene a real conversation with business leaders about these shifts and explore how to navigate forward.

Time: 16:00 – 17:30 p.m. (CET)
