Life at Deloitte

Daniel Ayala – Audit Partner

“Deloitte has been like my second home. I met my wife when I started here 17 years ago and I was recently accepted as a partner. What else could I ask for?”

Seventeen years of success

Shortly after graduating from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in December 1996, Daniel joined the Monterrey, Mexico office of Deloitte. He has been with the firm for 17 years and had the good fortune to meet his future wife when he came on board.

Daniel serves a variety of large manufacturing clients in the glass and automotive industries, as well as the media, real estate, and tourism sectors. A major factor in Daniel’s success with the firm was the ability to work with and learn from a wide variety of people.

Daniel also credits some of his success with being asked to participate in the Global Development Program, for which he spent 20 months in the Columbus, Ohio office in 2005-2007. During the program, Daniel was able to get exposure to public companies in the United States, in addition to deepening his understanding of SEC and PCAOB regulations. The program also strengthened his confidence in himself, making him believe that he could take his career to a higher level. His work experiences and especially the GDP program made him a strong and committed person, not only with the firm, but with his family.
