Thomas Jankovich

Thomas is a US Principal in Deloitte Digital and is the Digital Innovation Leader for Deloitte’s US Financial Services Practice. He also has global responsibility for Deloitte’s Financial Services Ecosystem efforts, specifically Fintech, Insurtech, High Tech, incubators and accelerators.

Thomas lives and breathes exponential technology including blockchain, AI, crowdsourcing, and IoT and as a US principal, works directly with clients to innovate new growth platforms as well as digitally transform through technology and partnerships. He is also a leader in Deloitte Doblin, a unique human centered design and innovation practice within the organization that both generates new innovations and helps clients become better innovators.

Now based in New York, Thomas was previously Chief Innovation & Growth Officer for Deloitte Africa, Chairman of Deloitte Digital Africa and leader of the South African Innovation practice.

Leveraging his investment banking experience and entrepreneurial endeavors, he has personally founded and commercialized disruptive businesses both for Deloitte and for clients. Thomas was also instrumental in developing and then leading a unique Deloitte Innovation practice that has initiated, commercialized and globalized over 60 businesses that generate over $7billion in new profitable revenue for clients.

Thomas’ experience ranges from designing and implementing programs for core business transformations, to working with executive leadership’s aggressive corporate venturing efforts. Having been with Deloitte for the past 17 years, his work has spanned banking, insurance, telecoms and energy, focused specifically where industry convergence is taking place and therefore where innovation is needed the most.
