Rob Galaski is Vice-Chairman & Global Managing Partner, Banking & Capital Markets. In this role, Rob is responsible for overseeing Deloitte's global consulting practices in Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Payments, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Investment Banking and Market Infrastructure.
Rob is also the Managing Partner, Financial Services for the Americas Region and is a member of the Global Financial Services Executive Committee. In this role, Rob is responsible for Deloitte’s four financial services sector groups -banking, insurance, real estate, and investment management –across all of Deloitte’s businesses. He is charged with developing and executing on the industry’s overall strategic direction, via a team of nearly 40,000 professionals.
As a practitioner, Rob is a strategy advisor with specific expertise working with boards and executive management teams to shape growth-oriented strategies. Rob’s work is global in nature, having served clients in twenty-seven countries. Rob is a market-eminent expert on the interconnectivity of issues shaping the financial services industry (strategy, regulation, technology, innovation); a highly-regarded speaker and author of numerous publications.
Rob serves as Executive Advisor to the World Economic Forum on Innovation in Financial Services, where he has led groundbreaking work on Disruption, Distributed Ledger Technology, Digital Identity, and Artificial Intelligence. Rob is a member of the sponsor Board for Vector Institute and standing member of the C.D. Howe Financial Services committee. In recognition of his contributions to the global financial services industry, Rob has been recognized by the IIF as a Global Leader Under 40.
