The below terms and conditions (the “General Terms”) display the general rules applicable to the Deloitte game ‘Deloitte Accountancy Entrepreneurship Challenge” (hereinafter the “Game”) which will be announced at

    The Game has been organized by Deloitte Accountancy, with registered office at Berkenlaan 8B, 1831 Diegem, Belgium, subscribed in the Register of Legal Entities of Brussels under business registration number 418.466.314 (hereinafter “Deloitte”).

    The Entrepreneurship Challenge is a business game for students in their (penultimate or) last master, last professional bachelor or transitional year to master in the field of finance, economics or accountancy.

    Neither the coach, nor the participating students are allowed to use professional Deloitte tools, applications or databases, as they can have a direct impact on the outcome of the business game and influence the market position of the teams.

    The coach is only available during 3 sessions to guide the participating students. If the teams want to work on their presentation, financial or business plan outside of the official contact moments, they will not be able to rely on their coach.

    The team will entirely take the decisions that will have to be taken during the Game. The coach can think with the team and help to determine their strategy, but never take part in the decision-making process.

    The participating students are aware that this Game needs to be taken seriously. Due to the huge interest, the organization prefers that that the participating teams are willing to improve their business skills in order to expand their knowledge on entrepreneurship.

    If the jury or organization suspects unfair use of Deloitte tools or an exaggerated intervention of the coach’ expertise, the team can be summoned to motivate their position.

    Violating the General Terms of the Game can lead to disqualification of the team.

    Only Deloitte is responsible to the participating students. Accordingly, to the fullest extent possible under applicable law, none of the Deloitte Entities (except Deloitte) will have any liability to the participating students.

    “Deloitte Entities” means Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, a UK private limited by guarantee (“DTTL”),which together with its member firms and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates and other firms (including Deloitte) with which it constitutes a network which is called the “DTTL network”. It also includes their predecessors, successors and assignees, as well as all partners, principals, members, owners, directors, employees, subcontractors and agents of all such entities.  Neither DTTL nor, except as expressly provided herein, any member firm of DTTL has any liability for each other’s acts or omissions. Each firm member of DTTL is a separate and independent legal entity operating under the names “Deloitte”, “Deloitte & Touche”, “Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu” or other related names; and services are provided by member firms or their subsidiaries or affiliates and not by DTTL.

    Participating students can only register as one team in the Game. A team should consist of minimum 3 and maximum 5 participating students. Decisions made by the jury or the organization will be irreversible and cannot be questioned. As an individual student, you can only participate once in the Game. Students who participated any previous year, cannot participate in this year’s competition. Maximum 6 teams per location will be accepted to the Game. If more teams register, we will enter the teams that registered first.

    International students can participate if they have been registered as regular students to a Belgian higher education institution. Non – residential exchange students that are staying in Belgium in the framework of an exchange programme or internship, will not be allowed to take part in the Game.

    Deloitte may exclude a person from participating in the Game for a specified period in the event of violation of the General Terms of the Game or of misuse, deception or participation in bad faith in the Game.

    The costs for participating in the Game shall be borne in full by the participant. Participating students may under no circumstances claim reimbursement of the costs incurred for taking part in the Game from Deloitte.

    The challenge will be organised on 3 dates: 29 February 2015 and 5 March 2015 (from 5.30 to 9.30 pm) in the Deloitte offices in Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels (Jette), Charleroi, Diegem, Ghent, Hasselt, Kortrijk, Leuven and Liège. You can choose in which office you participate in the challenge.

    The 20 highest ranking teams will be invited to the final day, which will be held on Saturday 14 March 2015 from 10am to 4pm at the headquarters of Deloitte in Diegem.

    A trip to the United States is awarded to the winning team of the Game (“Prize 1”).All team members will receive plane and hotel tickets, as well as pocket money per diem.

    During the Game, an additional contest will be organized during which the teams will be invited to make a 2-minute promotional movie in which they present their company (“Movie Contest”). Once the Game started, the movie can be uploaded on our Facebook available on:   

    The team that by the end of the Game delivers the video that gets the most ‘likes’, wins the Movie Contest and will be rewarded with combi tickets to one of Belgium’s biggest summer music festivals (“Price 2”). Price 1 and Price 2 shall be collectively named the “Prizes”.

    a.    Deloitte warrants that it will run the Game in a professional manner, and with reasonable care and skill. It has no performance obligation but a reasonable endeavours commitment (“obligation de moyen”- “middelenverbintenis”). Except as set out in these terms, all conditions, warranties and representations, express or implied by: (i) statute; (ii) common law, or; (iii) otherwise, including as to their performance, fitness for purpose or satisfactory quality, are excluded.

    b.    Deloitte is under no obligation to ensure that the Game is in conformity with the laws of a foreign jurisdiction.

    c.    Deloitte will have no liability or responsibility for any information or data inserted by the participating students or any third party in connection with the Game.

    Deloitte will own and retain ownership of all intellectual property rights and other proprietary rights of any kind in the Game and in the Deloitte Technologies that Deloitte may use or develop in connection with this Agreement.  “Deloitte Technologies” means all know-how and software, system interfaces, templates, methodologies, ideas, concepts, techniques, tools, processes, and technologies, including web-based technologies and algorithms owned by, licensed to or developed by any Deloitte Entity.

    a.    Deloitte does not provide any guarantee regarding the Prizes. The Prizes must be accepted as they are presented by Deloitte.

    b.    Deloitte will not be liable if it has to modify the General Terms of the Game or cancel or interrupt the Game due to a reason attributable to Force Majeure. Any such changes will be made available on: Player recognises that it is aware of and agrees with any such changes made available on the aforementioned website.

    c.    The entire liability of Deloitte under or in connection with the Game whether in contract, statute, tort (including, without limitation, negligence), or otherwise, and the liability of any other Deloitte Entity and their respective personnel, representatives and partners (‘Claims’), is limited to awarding the Prizes, except to the extent finally judicially determined to have resulted primarily from the bad faith or intentional misconduct of Deloitte, or any other Deloitte Entity or their respective personnel, representatives and partners.

    d.    In no event Deloitte, its affiliates, agents, or subcontractors, or any of their partners or other personnel or representatives, shall be liable to the participating students, whether in contract, statute, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise for i) loss or damage incurred by the other as a result of third party claims, or ii) incidental, special/consequential, punitive/exemplary or indirect loss, damage or expense suffered by the other such as but not limited to loss of profit, goodwill, data, business opportunity or anticipated saving (whether or not deemed to constitute a direct claim or not).

    e.    No action, regardless of form, arising under or relating to this Game, may be brought by either party more than one month after the expiration of the Game.

    f.    The outcome of the Game is binding and irrevocable. It cannot be contested. No correspondence may be exchanged on the outcome of the Game (no letters, e-mails or telephone calls). Announcements of the winners are final.


Participating students agrees that Deloitte may process his/hers personal data (including first name, last name, e-mail address, mother tongue, , name of the campus, college year, studies, Deloitte office where the teams will physically be present to play the Business Game ) and communicate it to any Deloitte Entity in Belgium or abroad, for use for the Game, and to keep the participating student informed about Deloitte, Deloitte Entities, any future games or activities.
If at some point in the future, the participating student no longer wishes to receive any such information, the participating student may, at no cost, send a request to that effect to Deloitte, by sending an email to

The record of the personal data can be consulted and, if necessary, modified by the subject of such personal data, at no cost, at any moment in time, by sending an email to

The participating student confirms that processing personal data acquired in relation to the Game will not place Deloitte or any entity within its network in breach of any applicable data privacy legislation.

By pressing the “send” key to send personal data, the participating student acknowledges that sending such data via the Internet is never devoid of risks. No claims whatsoever may be lodged against Deloitte for damages resulting from the use of the participating student’s personal data by unauthorised persons.


a)    Force Majeure.  Deloitte shall not be liable for any delays or other non-performance resulting from circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, acts or omissions, acts or omissions or the failure to cooperate by any third party, fire or other casualty, act of God, epidemic (including for the avoidance of doubt, pandemic influenza attack), strike or labour dispute, war or other violence, or any law, order or requirement of any governmental agency or authority.

b)    Survival.  All sections herein relating to licence and ownership, warranties, limitations of warranties and/or responsibility, limitations on damages and actions, third parties beneficiaries (Deloitte entities), jurisdiction, governing law and other terms, by their nature, shall survive the termination of these terms.

c)    Waiver.  The failure of either party to insist upon strict performance of any of the provisions contained in these terms shall not constitute a waiver of its rights as set forth in these terms, at law or in equity, or a waiver of any other provisions or subsequent default by the other party of any of the terms or conditions.

d)    Governing Law and Jurisdiction.  This Game and all matters relating to it whether in contract, statute, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Belgium (without giving effect to the choice of law principles thereof) and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Brussels.

e)    Severability.  If any provision of this Agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or arbitrators to be unenforceable, such provision shall not affect the other provisions, but such unenforceable provision shall be deemed modified to the extent necessary to render it enforceable, preserving to the fullest extent permissible the intent of the parties set forth in these terms.

f)    Assignment.  Deloitte may assign any of its rights or obligations hereunder to any Deloitte Entity and to any successor to its business.
