The business world is being transformed by Technology, and we’re helping to lead the way.
Every year, the business and technology landscape is more ambiguous and disruptive. Solving the problems of today – and tomorrow – takes more creativity and empathy than ever before. It also requires people with a broader set of skills and different ways of thinking: the ability to find simple answers to complex questions. If this is you – if you’re able to see, think and act differently – you’ll find Technology surprisingly interesting!

Hi, I'm Donna Van Bosbeke
Master in Business Economics
About half a year ago, I joined Deloitte within the Extended Enterprise Risk Management-team. Being part of Technology is not exactly in line with my studies in Business Economics, Finance. But honestly, until the moment I was told, I didn’t realize I was working in Tech. The day-to-day work is very diverse and not that technical after all. By working closely with your colleagues, you learn and grow every minute. And with our new Gateway building, we display even more our open and international business atmosphere. So don’t let the word ‘Tech’ scare you off and join Deloitte’s Technology!

Hi, I'm Hannes Swimberghe!
Master in Computer Science Engineering
In my last year at University, I had a wide range of opportunities to choose from. However, the interesting conversations with my potential director and the personal touch during the recruitment process, made it an easy decision to work for Deloitte. Being a computer sciences engineer and a member of the cyber team, I was expecting to sit behind my desk all day. This is indeed the case for the majority of my time, but since I’ve started at Deloitte I’ve been sitting behind desks of 10+ companies in Belgium and abroad (Finland, Cyprus, Netherlands, …). The experience of working with so many different people and in various industry sectors has proven invaluable so far and allowed me to develop myself in ways I didn’t expect.

Whether it’s the curiosity or diversity that excites you more; within Technology, you’ll find your interest is in demand.
If this is you? Beware!
1. “You’re good enough already!”
You get more than 220h of soft and hard skill trainings during your first year.
No matter your skill set today, as long as you share a passion for innovation, you’ll fit right in. As of day one, it starts with a comprehensive induction. You’ll be thought everything you need, as training continues throughout your career – shaped by your own ambitions and motivations.
2. “It’s more than just IT!”
You don’t need a Tech degree; but a genuine interest in business, being great with people, and able to think strategically.
Technology is more than coding or developing. It’s connecting the business reality with technological innovations. It’s constantly coming up with ways to challenge the now and invent the new. It’s not about having a technical degree; it’s about having a genuine interest in business, being great with people, and able to think strategically.
3. “Every day is different!”
On average, 20 to 30% of project hours of a 1st year junior are spent abroad.
Not just because every project or client is different, but because, as a business, we apply today’s innovation in the projects of tomorrow. And this, on a global scale. As our clients operate in a more globally connect world, international mobility is an important part of our juniors’ career.
4. “It’s not your educational background that matters most!”
Last year, we hired >30 different educational backgrounds divided over 12 fields, shown in the graph below.
As a business, we recognize the importance of diversity in all its forms. We match our people to our clients, and no two clients are the same. That’s why we look for people with different backgrounds, with different ways of thinking and skills that are relevant. It’s this combination of backgrounds, working together, that makes our business successful.
