Veerle Peeters, Director Cyber Governance, is nominated for ICT Woman of the Year
Veerle obtained a Master in Criminology at UGent, followed by a degree in management and behavioural and cultural governance from Antwerp Management School and Nyenrode U. Veerle’s education in social sciences provided unique insights for working in cyberspace, enabling her to engage everyone from CEOs to ethical hackers and creative workers.
She held cybersecurity functions for years before joining Deloitte in 2018. Veerle strives to inspire all generations to develop more digital and cyber
competencies. She is the founder of the DigiSkillzz initiative to accelerate
digital and media literacy among kids, as well as a Child Focus Belgium
ambassador. Veerle also coaches junior colleagues on the job and is involved in the ‘Women in Cyber’ and ‘Junior recruitment’ communities at Deloitte.

Alana Panny, Senior Consultant AI & Data, is nominated for Young ICT Lady of the Year
Alana graduated from Odisee with a Bachelor in Applied Information Technology – Software Engineering. She completed an internship at Deloitte before joining the company full time in 2016. Her data-oriented career path has led her to her current position as senior consultant.
Alana is highly involved in STEM initiatives as she volunteers at CoderDojo and participates in She Loves to Code, aiming to inspiring women to pursue careers in tech.
