Cyber Security Consultant

Job description

Join one of our four security focused teams and become an expert in cyber security, ethical hacking, penetration testing, security architecture and security processes. You will identify IT security risks and help our clients to adequately protect their information assets and networks to ensure business continuity.

Who you’ll be working with

As cyberspace and e-commerce grows, so does the risk of data hacking. Our clients must make sure their systems and the substantial amount of personal and commercial data they hold is protected from failure, exploitation, theft, fraud and abuse. That’s where our team comes in. As experts in our field, we’re relentless in our ability to spot the smallest discrepancies in a wealth of big data. In doing so, we help guard our clients from current risk and protect potential risks in the future.

What work you’ll be doing

Cyber Security Management & Operations

  • Assist our clients in understanding today’s cyber threat landscape, assess the maturity of their cyber security capabilities and define a strategy to become cyber resilient
  • Support our clients to assess vulnerabilities related to cyber-attacks through social engineering or technical assessments
  • Strengthen our clients’ security infrastructure and cyber security analytics capabilities 

Identity Access Management

  • Help design information models by defining security architecture vision, strategy and roadmaps
  • Follow-up on the implementation of business and functional requirements of security services (focussing on identity management, authentication and access control)
  • Assist in the design of the right enterprise and solution security architectures for our clients
  • Collaborate with our client as well as ICT-delivery (application architects)

Data Privacy

  • Help clients identify privacy-related, legal or business risks and implement the appropriate organisational and technical measures
  • Plan and execute a pragmatic and integrated privacy and legal approach
  • Support our clients to build and implement pragmatic and workable privacy programmes
  • Advise on legal and technical aspects of privacy or other IT legal issues
  • Assist in drafting legal updates or courses for Deloitte’s European Privacy Academy

  • While becoming proficient in your cyber security, you’ll start taking responsibility for projects and be responsible for end-deliverables
  • Increasingly, you’ll build knowledge, work on internal initiatives and begin to lead teams and manage projects
  • As you grow in your job, you’ll grow your managerial skills by coaching and counselling junior consultants

What is your educational background?

You have a Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Industrial, Commercial or Civil Engineering or Computer Sciences.
