Future of Mobility

In May 2019, Deloitte Belgium hosted its first Future of Mobility event and launched the “New Deal for Mobility in Belgium” report, engaging 97 executives from across the mobility landscape.

The report outlines the major trends that are transforming mobility; electrification of vehicles, the rise of Mobility as a Service (MaaS), and even connected and autonomous technologies are shaping the future. Private and public players are redefining the mobility ecosystem to meet the demands of today and tomorrow.

“The high level of car use in Belgium is not surprising: Belgians consider the car as the most reliable, safest and easiest means of transport, according to Deloitte's Global Automotive Consumer Survey 2019. Furthermore, 43% of Belgians think that the most important aspect of mobility is to arrive at their destination as quickly as possible. Cost (20%) and safety (18%) are considered less important.”
