POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE | BJA Webinar: International remote working

Deloitte Academy

A new date will be communicated soon

The Belgium-Japan Association & Chamber of Commerce is honored to invite you to a webinar discussing the HR and tax related aspects of international remote working. Wim Eynatten, Deloitte International Tax Partner and BJA Legal & Tax Committee Chair will address the tax implications and Philippe Borremans, Group S International Affairs Manager and BJA Membership Committee Chair will address the HR related aspects.

COVID-19 has made remote working increasingly common. Whilst both the OECD and individual tax authorities have released statements on how to apply existing permanent establishment (“PE”) rules, what are the PE implications of remote working in what may be the ‘new normal’ of increased workplace flexibility?

What will be the implications from a personal income tax perspective? Which legislation will apply to the employment contract? To which social security system should the worker be subject? Which country is competent to collect taxes? A significant amount of uncertainty remains in relation to international remote working and careful consideration will be needed.

During this webinar, your questions will be answered and other points to be considered will be highlighted.

This event is kindly sponsored and hosted by Deloitte Academy.

Kindly send your questions by 21 May 2021 to info@bja.be
