Belgium Tax Dbriefs
In this ongoing COVID-19 period, cost containment and work force engagement remain two priorities for the vast majority of the companies. During this webinar, we would like to put the spotlight on incentives from two different angles. Deloitte experts will guide you through the most relevant social security and wage tax incentives currently available to employers, and examine the opportunities that they present. They will also share some insights on short-term incentives for specific groups of your work force.

Social security reductions
The reduction of employer social security contributions aims at stimulating the recruitment of specific employees and managing the high salary cost in Belgium. We will cover the main attention points for HR, talent acquisition and payroll officers in maximising the benefit.
Wage withholding tax exemptions
Although wage tax partial exemptions have been extended throughout the years with an increasing impact as employers become more familiar with these measures (such as overtime, night and shift work, shift work on location, etc.), we notice that there are still opportunities and challenges. We will provide you with an overview of the most relevant exemptions, while zooming in on recent updates and FAQ’s. As these incentives are highly under the tax authorities’ scrutiny, we will discuss best practices in correctly applying them and look at how you can prepare for a tax audit.
In order to be effective, the design of your reward package should be tailor-made to the group it is aimed for. We will zoom in on how to incentivise specific types of collaborators such as tech and sales profiles and contingent workers.
