Defining and executing a digital vision for a global wealth manager

Context

To realise its goal of becoming “an omnichannel wealth manager”, our client asked Deloitte to create a digital vision, strategy and roadmap. They also asked us to set up a governance model to execute the strategy and deliver its digital transformation. In addition, we were asked to imagine and deliver a new digital investment platform for their advisory clients.

What we did

We performed market research combined with client interviews to make a strategic prioritisation and roadmap of digital initiatives. We set up and promoted a user-centric and agile methodology from strategy to execution.

We designed the value proposition of a new advisory platform by working together with all internal stakeholders, and created multiple iterations of prototypes that were tested with clients. We led the development of the platform and guided the go-to-market, starting with an MVP launch to 100 clients and then scaling up to all advisory clients.

Impact

A governance and digital delivery model have been set in place, allowing for acceleration of the digital transformation and better management, prioritisation and roll-out of digital initiatives. We designed and delivered a new innovative advisory platform that enhanced customer experience and increased profitability.

Roll-out of a Digital Studio enabling creative and agile development of smart experiences for citizens

Context

Our client aimed to develop a services platform dedicated to citizens and companies in order to digitise and automate as much as possible the processing of low value tasks. We were asked to translate this vision into a strategy, and then design and implementing a new operating model, including the delivery of the service platform itself.

What we did

We implemented and staffed our Digital Studio to transform ideas for new online tax products into prototypes that were tested with citizens, then developed and launched.

We put the target audience, citizens, at the heart of our approach and designed our solutions around their needs. The development of the solutions was done in co-creation with the client, and our user-centric approach based on prototyping contributed to making their digital transformation more tangible, without the long time-to-market they were used to.

Impact

The time it previously took to transform a set of requirements into a working prototype was reduced by 70%, while confidence in the delivery of relevant solutions was significantly increased thanks to the constant involvement of citizens. The creation of clickable prototypes materialised the expected solution in detail, making it quickly tangible for the whole organisation.

Set up of a Digital Studio to rapidly launch new digital products

Context

Our client, a global chemical manufacturer, embarked on a digitalisation journey through the execution of a roadmap phase, which focused on identifying and prioritising digital opportunities.

Four opportunities were selected for analysis, design and implementation and a centralised Digital Studio needed to be set up in order to accelerate the transformation journey.

What we did

Deloitte Digital drove the digital transformation program by supporting the set up of the Digital Studio, including advice on the operating model, governance, portfolio, capabilities and IT landscape, as well as change and communication. Next to that, the team developed the four opportunities from ideation to the launch of digital products.

Impact

Four digital solutions were delivered to improve internal operations, enhance the customer experience and/or transform the business model. Additionally, the set-up of the Digital Studio enabled the client to embrace digital transformation and a new way of working. Agile and Lean Start-up methodologies were embedded into the process, ensuring the continuous capturing of business and customer needs and feedback, leading to new ideas, the next release of a digital product or even fast failure.
