​​​​March 8 is International Women’s Day (IWD) – dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women and raising awareness on gender equality.​​​

At Deloitte Middle East, we take time to reflect on and celebrate the achievements of the women in our lives. Today and every day, let’s continue to reflect on challenges that still exist when it comes to making gender balance a reality, and inspire inclusion. Only when individuals are inspired to understand and value women's inclusion, can they forge a better world. 

​”Every year, International Women's Day stands as a reminder to actively pursue advancements in gender equality. This year, the theme "Inspire Inclusion" underscores the significance of cultivating an environment where women are not just present but fully recognized and empowered. 

Since the last International Women’s Day, Deloitte Middle East has achieved significant milestones through the introduction of a comprehensive gender diversity strategy, GLOW. This initiative encompasses new returnship programs, expanded mentoring opportunities, and the improvement of family-oriented and well-being policies, providing increased support for our female colleagues. My commitment to the advancement of women remains unwavering, ensuring a collective leadership effort to propel the agenda forward,” said Deloitte Middle East CEO, Mutasem Dajani. 

​Aligned with the IWD 2024 theme ‘Inspire Inclusion’ and the UN Women's campaign slogan of 'Invest in women: Accelerate progress,’ Deloitte spotlights the positive impact that it is having on women and girls internationally through our WorldClass social impact programs, which aims to impact 100 million futures through education, ski​lls d​evelopment, and access to opportunities.  

​The Deloitte global campaign seeks to draw attention to the millions of women and girls globally who are held back from realising their potential and acknowledge the role that Deloitte has to play in helping shape a more sustainable, inclusive, and just future by breaking down barriers to education, skills development, and training.
