What do you like most about your role?
The ability to do more than audit work. During my time here are Deloitte I have been able to work on multiple Advisory projects and had the opportunity to lead internal projects such as the Audit Associate Program - a training program that supports recent graduates studying towards their accounting designations.
What attracted you to Deloitte?
The people! During my first summer internship I had the opportunity of meeting several professional staff that had a genuine interest in my career. All were more than happy to sit down and chat about the Chartered Professional Accountant designation and the life of an auditor.
Describe your day to day role:
My day typically starts by catching up with each of my audit teams, followed by a wide variety of meetings and ending with reviewing audit engagement working papers.
What else have your been involved with since joining Deloitte?
Through leading the Audit Associate Program I have been able to continue to develop an important Deloitte initiative that supports and develops local Bermudians working towards their accounting qualification. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and playing football.
What is Deloitte’s role in your longer term career goals?
Deloitte is a facilitator to my longer term career goals.
