The idea is to understand that the cultural intelligence is higher when a team of professionals with different education level, ethnicity, gender, age, working style, religion, sexual orientation, technical skills etc., come together to work for one company. My idea of inclusion is not restricted to gender equality, but a culture where every voice matters.

I have been with Deloitte since 2012 and I can vouch that Deloitte makes their employees feel valued, welcomed, safe and comfortable. I have worked with different member firms within Deloitte (United States, Saudi Arabia, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Dubai etc.) and have witnessed that no matter who you are, where you are from and what your skillsets are, your opinion matters.

In my personal opinion, diversity and inclusion promotes curiosity amongst the team members which in turn develops positive relationships which ultimately strikes creative thinking and better performance. Deloitte understands the importance of diversity and adapts to a very inclusive culture which is witnessed by initiatives such as GFSI diversity program, well-being programs, mandatory e-learnings, speak up, cultural navigator, etc.
