Deloitte offers "Safe Passage" workshops to assess Oracle client readiness for moving to the Cloud

New York, September 25, 2014 – Deloitte announced today the offering of "safe passage" workshops to help Oracle clients assess their readiness for moving their ERP and HCM processes to the cloud. Organized as a half-day, interactive session, Deloitte's Oracle Cloud Workshop provides a structured approach to exploring the many questions finance and technology executives typically have about potential cloud providers, the deployment process and how to prepare.

The workshop leverages a proprietary cloud assessment framework that spans most of the requirements and major steps in an Oracle cloud implementation. This framework outlines the business value of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud and Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud and assists Oracle clients in understanding if and when the cloud may be appropriate for their organizations. It also helps them determine if there are any technology or process gaps that need to be filled in order to facilitate their "safe passage" to Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle HCM Cloud.

"Deloitte has invested heavily in Oracle cloud capabilities and tools since Oracle's vision for agile, scalable, software as a service (SaaS) offerings first emerged around HCM," said Candice Philbrick, principal and Oracle technologies leader, Deloitte Consulting LLP. "As one of Oracle's leading alliances for ERP, it stands to reason we would be at the forefront of extending the cloud concept to core business processes, such as financials, procurement, order orchestration and supply chain. We look forward to conducting the ‘safe passage' workshops and are eager to help companies in their efforts to benefit from cloud-based solutions via greater agility, enhanced efficiency and improved ability to retain top talent."
