The Deloitte Internship Experience

Over the past ten years, over 200 students have participated in Deloitte’s internship program. Students that are seen to show initiative and demonstrate aptitude for future success are usually invited back in subsequent years which can result in full time employment at the end of their degree program. Many of our interns have gone on to leadership positions, including our CEO, John Johnston!

Taylor-Ashley Bean, Financial Advisory

Everyone acknowledges that they have been in your place at one point which enables them to support you and give guidance. During your internship program, if you show that you are eager to learn, realise the opportunity being offered and are a hard worker, people will take a chance on you.

John Johnston, CEO, Deloitte Caribbean and Bermuda

As a summer intern with Deloitte, I was exposed to the work environment through face-to-face client engagements that required me to develop new skills quickly. I was also given the opportunity to participate in the Global Project Challenge, where I worked with Deloitte staff from the global network and learned to communicate effectively with colleagues virtually. At Deloitte, staff at every level, from associates to partners, are committed to engaging in conversation with students, which provides excellent support!

Kelsey Dixon, Financial Advisory

As a Deloitte intern, I was delegated or involved in important projects that helped me to grow as a student and a Deloitte professional. Every year there was always a different project that I was able to learn about and help with!

Brittany Scott, Audit & Assurance

Through the DEEP internship program, I was able to build important transferable skills such as professional communication skills, teamwork & collaboration, and problem-solving. This helped me to understand why the teamwork that we practiced every day in class was so important as it relates to the way most organizations function. Having this work experience while studying helped me to understand the concepts I learned in the classroom by seeing them applied in real-world scenarios.
