Deloitte Ranked No. 1 in Consulting in North America by Kennedy
Toronto, September 16, 2014 – Kennedy Consulting Research & Advisory – an independent leader in market analysis on the consulting profession – recently ranked Deloitte the No. 1 North American consulting organization based on revenue performance. The report, Geographic Consulting Market Outlook 2014: North America, defines consulting as: strategy, operations, human capital, IT advisory and financial advisory services.
Kennedy provides market sizing and growth rates for the entire North American consulting market by region (U.S. and Canada), four service lines and 10 industries – placing due emphasis on the territory’s five largest sectors: financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, natural resources and power, and the public sector. The report found the overall outlook for the industry to be positive, saying “the North American market is expected to reach the $100 billion mark in 2017.”
“Most people point to the negative implications of the shrinking world – the accelerating pace of change, increasing competitive pressures, and challenging geopolitical matters. We lead clients to think about these disruptions as creating expanded business opportunities,” noted Jim Moffatt, U.S. chief executive officer and chairman of Deloitte Consulting LLP. “With unparalleled cross-sector, cross-industry experience and solutions-focused strategies, Deloitte addresses clients’ most complex challenges. Together, we provide the insight and confidence clients need to make the most of market opportunities and sidestep market pitfalls.”
Moffatt added, “This latest recognition from Kennedy is a reflection of clients continuously rehiring us – and verification that our breadth and depth of services help them get ahead – and stay ahead – of the competition, both today and tomorrow.”
The report notes that Deloitte leads the market in terms of revenue – by $3.5 million with a market share of 10.2 percent. In addition to ranking No. 1 in North American consulting, Deloitte was ranked by revenue in the following sub-segments: No. 1 in strategy and operations consulting, No. 1 in financial consulting, and No. 3 in human resources consulting.
“We take tremendous pride in this recognition from Kennedy as it further affirms our clients’ confidence and trust in our abilities to provide them with leading solutions to solve their most complex business challenges, help them transform their organizations, and position them for success. As trusted advisors to our clients, we continue to experience significant growth in the Canadian market. The breadth of our services and depth of industry knowledge is a key differentiator for us and uniquely positions our consulting practice to meet our clients’ ever-changing needs,” said Tim Christmann, managing director of consulting, Deloitte Canada.
Earlier this year, Kennedy ranked Deloitte as No. 1 in global consulting and management consulting based on revenue for the fourth consecutive year, in the report entitled Global Consulting Index 2013. In addition, several other reports from Kennedy this year reflect Deloitte’s ongoing commitment to bringing new and innovative solutions to clients, as well as its leadership in the industry:
