Peter Dent

Peter is a partner in Deloitte Forensic with more than 23 years of experience working with clients in conducting internal investigations and providing advice regarding anti-fraud and anti-corruption compliance frameworks to enhance accountability, transparency, and governance. His specialties include working with international organizations in post-crisis environments, and he has worked in more than 35 countries as well as the United Nations. Peter also once led the forensic services unit at World Bank Group, investigating international fraud and corruption procurement in projects financed by the World Bank.

Peter is the past chair of Transparency International—Canada and a current faculty member of the Director’s Education Program at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where he lectures about the governance of internal investigations and financial crime prevention. Early in his career, he worked with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s commercial crime unit.
