Pierre Laporte

As President of Deloitte Quebec and Vice Chair of Deloitte Canada, Pierre Laporte is responsible for business development and serving as leader on several major accounts. Also inherent to his role is ensuring the continued prominence of Deloitte within the community.
As the firm’s Lead Financial Advisory Partner until recently, he possesses vast experience at managing complex, multi-jurisdictional files. For many years, he led the firm’s Restructuring Services groups in Canada and the Americas, establishing one of the most prolific track records in Canada. He led many high-profile mandates throughout his career, including the restructuring of asset-backed commercial paper (ABCP), Papiers Gaspésia, Davie Shipbuilding and, recently, Homburg Invest. Inc., for which he oversaw a group of European and North American experts on a $2.8 billion debt restructuring.
A member of several boards, Pierre Laporte has, since June 2015, been serving as board chairman of SODEC (Société de développement des entreprises culturelles du Québec), Quebec’s cultural industry development organization.
