Terie is the deputy national leader of Deloitte’s Dispute Advisory Services. She specializes in business valuations and damage quantification for the purposes of disputes, tax reorganizations, financial reporting, mergers and acquisition, and strategic advisory.
She works closely with in-house and external counsel, helping them to understand large volumes of data and quantify the damages in both voluntary remediation and litigation scenarios. She focuses on the wealth and retail segments of financial institutions, as well as overtime class actions across a variety of industries. She works with key stakeholders, including legal counsel, compliance, regulators, and the business to advise on the methodology, major assumptions, and information required to develop a fair and accurate quantification of damages.
Terie has presented at the annual meeting of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators about big data litigation, and regularly gives presentations to law firms and in-house counsel on various topics, including financial accounting.
