Daryl Walcott-Grappie | Barbados

Daryl is a Partner in the Audit & Assurance and Risk Advisory practices at Deloitte Barbados. He provides a high level of expertise to clients across several industries and currently has a focus on the financial services industry. He has experience in public accounting in Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados.  Daryl has served a diverse client industry portfolio which includes managing multi-location client groups.

His clients include direct insurers, reinsurers, retail and offshore banks, credit unions, manufacturers and distributors in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. Daryl has served on the Caribbean firm’s Professional Practices Group, providing consultations and guidance on IFRS, accounting and auditing matters. Additionally, he facilitates internal and client training and workshops on a range of accounting topics.

Daryl also has direct industry experience having headed up the finance team of a five branch consumer goods firm and the project accounting team of a leading real estate development group.  

He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies (St. Augustine Campus) with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Industrial Management, a member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) serving on its Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee.
