John Jabs | Cayman Islands

John has over 20 years of experience in public accounting with Deloitte, in both the Cayman Islands and Canada.

John leads audits of various hedge and private equity funds, and serves as the leader of Deloitte Cayman Islands’ Cross-Border Audit Process and as local insurance sector leader.

John plays an active role in Deloitte's Caribbean and Bermuda region as a member of both the Audit & Assurance Technical Team and the Internal Control Leaders Network. John also acts as concurring reviewer for a number of engagements, and as a team leader for Deloitte’s Global Audit Quality Inspection process.

John is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants.

John has taught undergraduate accounting courses at the University of Manitoba and worked as both a course facilitator and exam marker for the Chartered Accountants School of Business. An active member of the community, John is the local leader for Deloitte’s WorldClimate initiative and has served on many not-for-profit boards focused on coral reef restoration, business education, and financial literacy.
