How would you describe your Talent Experience working at Deloitte?
My experience, being with the firm for 12 years, has been an exciting journey. I started off as an Assistant Compliance Officer working with Alison Dunkley in the Cayman Office. Now, as a Manager for the Risk and Compliance department of the CBC office, led by Richard Drennan (DOI, RRL of CBC), I can see where I have developed and matured. Deloitte has assisted me to obtain further education, sent me to conferences and workshops within the Americas region, provided opportunities for me to work from home when needed for my own wellbeing as well as for my children, among so many other things.
How do you connect your personal purpose to Deloitte’s purpose?
My personal motto is “Live life. Learn lessons. Liberate yourself.” It is my purpose in life to be true to myself and true to my faith, family, country. In everything that I do, I try to make an impact with passion and dedication.
What’s been the most interesting, challenging, or surprising about your role within Deloitte?
The most interesting aspect of my role with Deloitte has been meeting people who do and love the same type of work that I do and travelling to places I have never been before.
How has Deloitte invested in you as a leader?
Deloitte has provided opportunities for me to further my career and education by allowing me to attend meetings, conferences, training sessions, etc. all over the Americas region, as well as provide opportunities to work with colleagues on various committees like Social, Community Ambassadors, All-In, etc. In addition, Deloitte has helped me to be the person I am today – a hardworking, outspoken, fun-loving, purpose-driven individual, who wishes to inspire everyone to be the same.
Why did you choose to work in Deloitte CBC region?
I was born in this region and I love the “sea, sand and sun”. I call this place home so working for Deloitte, a company who makes an impact that matters, is an added bonus!
