Gender Equality Cayman (GEC) is a not-for-profit organization with a vision of greater gender equality in the workplace in the Cayman Islands. The underlying belief is that diversity, and gender equality in particular, are key metrics of highly productive, profitable and stable businesses.
Since its inception as a not-for-profit in 2019, I have enjoyed marrying my passion for Diversity & Inclusion, and gender equality as an active member within GEC. Being involved in this organization allows me to give back in the local community by assisting with organizing events and trainings on topics such as Unconscious Bias.
At Deloitte, I spend time ensuring we effectively implement our global ALL In strategy across the region. ALL IN signifies Deloitte’s global commitment to creating an organization where everyone has equal opportunity to grow, develop, succeed and be their truest selves. It also represents the firm’s commitment to accelerating gender representation and strengthening their culture of inclusion. Through my experience advancing this topic within our organization, I feel I can help other organizations make positive changes or adjustments in the way they operate to gain greater gender equality in the workplace.
