Mike Green

Mike Green is a UK qualified insolvency practitioner and a Financial Advisory partner of Deloitte in the Cayman Islands. Mike has over 14 years’ experience providing cross-border restructuring advice and formal insolvency services. This experience includes acting as official, provisional and voluntary liquidator, as well as Court-appointed receiver, to Cayman Islands domiciled companies. Mike specialises in conducting financial investigations, asset recovery actions and managing litigation, as well as conducting cross-border restructuring engagements. Mike also has experience advising clients on a range of pre-liquidation, operational and forensic review related matters. 

Recent notable cases include managing the provisional and official liquidation of Abraaj Investment Management Limited, which was one of the World’s largest private equity companies, as well as acting as official liquidator to an investment fund where claims are being pursued against the former director and manager. In addition, Mike acts as provisional liquidator and manages the liquidations of a number of companies that are listed on the HKSE with significant operations in China. 

Mike is a qualified insolvency practitioner (JIEB), a chartered accountant (FCA), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a member of the Restructuring and Insolvency Specialists Association (RISA) and a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA). Mike has also been an active member of the Legal and Regulatory Committee of RISA since 2015.
