Meet our feature speaker: Ramiro Basurte, Partner – Cyber Risk Services - Deloitte Argentina

Ramiro is a Partner for the Risk Advisory division, focused on our Cyber Risk service line. Ramiro has been a member of our firm since 2003. Before joining Deloitte, he worked as an IT and software development consultant, mostly working over web platforms. Among his activities were managing different work groups for a variety of clients. He has over 20 years of IT working experience.

At Deloitte, Ramiro is a specialist on:

  • IT Systems revisions, diagnostics and auditing (regulatory framework, IT structure and roles, IT processes, technology and software)
  • Information Security (intrusion tests, ethical hacking, web application testing, social engineering, hardware and software Security, physical Security)
  • Core services (disaster recovery plans and business continuity, Risk analysis, BIA/RIA, SIEM)
  • Compliance (SOX, PCI, BCRA’s IT and security regulations, CRC projects involving software licensing for IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Attachmate, ISO 27001 2005-2013, COBIT, VAL IT)

As part of our team of professionals, Ramiro has participated in different projects in many clients (private and public sector, retail, etc.).

Brett Henshilwood has over 20 years of risk management and internal controls audit experience within the financial services industry, gained in New Zealand, UK, and Bermuda. Brett leads the operational risk services across the Caribbean and Bermuda region. He has extensive experience in leading co-sourced internal audit engagements, technology assurance, cyber risk and risk management projects. He has extensive experience in performing controls work on information systems, including performing application implementation reviews and risk assessments. Brett has been the project manager in the completion of due diligence procedures in the review and understanding of internal controls and has performed gap analyses in alignment with global frameworks including Bermuda’s insurance code of conduct.

Wayne is a Director in our Risk Advisory practice and Information Systems teams. He specializes in managed services with a concentration in Information Technology, and has 14 years of experience working with Deloitte offices and clients across the Americas, South East Asia, Africa and Europe. Wayne has a Bachelor of Arts in Information Systems Management from the University of South Florida (USA) and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), SANS (GSEC) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). He also holds several other industry relevant certifications from institutions such as Microsoft and Cisco. His skill set has allowed him to work with clients across a broad array of industry sectors, specializing in Financial Services, Telecommunications and Public Sector. Wayne’s areas of expertise include Cyber Risk Services, enterprise-wide technologies such as Managed Wide Area Network (“WAN”), Metropolitan (“MAN”), Local Area Network (“LAN”) and unified communication solutions in production, hot sites and warm sites. In addition to this, Wayne is an experienced database administrator and applications consultant. Wayne is also a mentor for the Cayman Finance Student Education & Work Experience Programme.

Dwight has over ten (10) years of experience in Information Risk Management, primarily in the external audit and seven (7) years experience in Enterprise Systems Management. His experience in Information Risk has centered around financial organizations in the Eastern Caribbean. Dwight has a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity from Bellevue University, Nebraska and a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems from Pace University, New York. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a board member of the Barbados chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA).

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and the Certified Information Systems Auditor (“CISA”) designation.
