Our Business Continuity Management System

Deloitte Caribbean and Bermuda’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) has been certified by an independent third party that it complies with the requirements of ISO 22301. This certification requires Deloitte to demonstrate the effectiveness of its BCMS, and specifies the requirements to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and continually improve a documented business continuity management system to protect against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive incidents when they arise.

There are a number of business continuity teams, plans and policies in place across the firm that build the framework to support the BCMS along with an overarching governance structure. The firm’s business continuity plans are tested annually in accordance with the firm's testing and exercising policy, with testing taking place at both the business, enabling function and firm wide level.

Our robust crisis management framework

The firm has a robust crisis management plan which provides a common framework for the management of incidents. More specifically, it defines the various team roles, how they should be invoked and how they will assist with effective co-ordination and communication, internally and externally, to support Deloitte Caribbean and Bermuda (CBC) and its affiliates, and their clients.

This is invoked in response to an incident which is beyond the scope of normal business operations and which poses a significant threat to Deloitte CBC, its people, property, clients, operations, systems and/or reputation. The firm’s Crisis Management framework is tested annually.
