Against this backdrop, we are pleased to announce recent promotions of Carol Johnson-Haynes and Daryl Walcott-Grappie to Partner effective 1st July, 2018. Carol and Daryl are enthusiastic leaders who empower their teams and are passionate about developing people.

Carol Johnson Haynes
Carol has lead responsibility for a diversified portfolio of clients ranging from banking, insurance, international business companies, retail and manufacturing. She has a strong accounting and auditing foundation and an enviable track record with clients that span the globe. In her nearly two decades with Deloitte, she has experience in IFRS, Canadian GAAP, and US GAAP. Carol has served as a practice reviewer in Deloitte CBC for over nine years. Carol is a practicing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants. She has an Associate Degree in Accounts, Economics and Law and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting (Hons.). Carol is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the Chartered Accountants of Barbados (FCA), and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).
Additionally, she is highly qualified and experienced in the filing of individual and corporate tax returns, has working knowledge of the Barbados Income Tax Act with respect to local companies, International Business Companies, Societies with Restricted Liabilities, Exempt Insurance Companies and Qualifying Insurance Companies. Carol's intense focus on delivering value to client will continue to be an important asset in her new role.
Daryl Walcott-Grappie provides a high level of expertise to clients across several industries and currently has a focus on the financial services industry. He has over 16 years’ experience in public accounting in Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados and has operated at the audit management level for over 10 years, with his most recent position being Director serving in the Audit, and Risk Advisory service lines. Daryl has served a diverse client industry portfolio which includes managing multi-location client groups. He has also served on the Caribbean firm’s Professional Practices Group, providing consultations and guidance on IFRS, accounting and auditing matters.
Daryl is a graduate of the University of the West Indies (St. Augustine Campus) with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Industrial Management, a member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) serving on its Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee.
