Paul Leggett

Paul is a financial advisory leader who has spent the last 20 years with Deloitte successfully advising corporate entities and their various stakeholders in a range of industries including, to name a few, financial services, telecommunications, retail, engineering & construction and aviation. Paul leads projects across a wide range of situations covering the financial advisory spectrum but personally specialises in deals at the stressed and distressed end. As well as advising on options and developing turnaround and value creation plans in stressed situations (including taking roles within client organisations), and developing multi-party consensual solutions in distressed situations, Paul has been involved in a number of complex contingency planning assignments for borrowers, lenders and stakeholders, helping them to understand the impact on the parties concerned of failing to reach an agreement and to understand the potential alternative fall-back plans and outcomes.

During his time in Deloitte he has spent nine months working for one of the UK’s leading banks in their high risk team dealing with borrowers in distressed financial situations. As well as providing advice to stakeholders, Paul has also been involved in the trading and sale of businesses in Administration/Liquidation, both at a national and international level and has been involved in providing trustee services to companies in their dealings with various competition commissions. Most recently, Paul has been involved in the day-to-day operations of a multi-billion US$ private equity firm, dealing with ongoing trading as well as being involved in portfolio company investment and disposal decisions.

Paul has a wealth of international experience and joins the local firm from Deloitte Middle East where he spent the last eight and a half years before which he worked for Deloitte in UK and Europe. Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is UK Joint Insolvency Examination Board qualified.
