Part-time jobs are an essential part of this effort. It is why our people have the option to reduce to up to 80%, depending on their preference. Not only that: we also encourage remote working and flexible working hours when not on client site, offer the chance to take a sabbatical to pursue your other interests, or to purchase two extra weeks of holidays a year, so you can be successful without neglecting your work-life-balance or clients’ needs.

Deloitte’s option to work 80% has enabled me to spend more time focusing on my family: Me and my wife both work and want to achieve balance when it comes to looking after our little daughter who keeps us very busy – ensuring she has lots of time with both of us around as she grows up. Aside from that we are also taking time to pursue our passions, such as travelling and discovering new wine regions or skiing. Deloitte does not only give me the opportunity to work part-time but also the ability to all be entrepreneurial in what we do – there is a genuine interest and encouragement to continually think of new and innovative ideas or ways of working.

Not only have I been with Deloitte for ten years, but I am also a mother to a young daughter and a board member of a professional women’s network as well as part of the advisory board of my Alma Mater. In my role, I am really empowered to decide when and how to work.
