Creating & building an in-house Content Studio to produce engaging content

For our client, a leading Swiss private bank and investment management group, we built a Content Studio from the ground up, capable of producing a continuous flow of relevant content.

Ambition:
Our client’s ambition was to set up a Content Studio, which would be capable of producing regular, engaging content, relevant for their target groups - ranging from copywriting assets to visual assets and motion assets.

Solution:
This turned out to be quite an ambitious goal as, at the time we won the engagement, target segments had not been clearly defined, an overarching content strategy was missing and channels had been based on internal policies rather than clients’ preferences.
To set-up an operational Content Studio in only 10 weeks we followed a three phase approach:

  • Strategy – Identifying relevant segments and topics as well as preferred channels and formats.
  • MVP – Defining required capabilities and a light target operating model. Based on 6 sprint sessions content was delivered and the target operating model refined.
  • Scale – Ultimately, the Content Studio was up and running and handed over to the client with an action plan on how to further scale the Content Studio.

Takeaway:
There are 3 key ingredients required to set-up a fully operational Content Studio. A clear and collaborative editorial plan, containing topics matching the clients' needs. A kick-ass team, consisting of a head of content, copywriters, visual designers, motions designers, topic gurus and distribution experts. A technology solution (often DAM), powering the creation, approval & distribution flow of contents.

Our Impact:

  • 20+ conversion goals achieved, leading to new leads
  • 60 digital assets created in only 6 weeks (e.g. blogposts)
  • 30% increase of website traffic to blogposts
