ChairmanChats@DeloitteChina #6: Innovation
Happy Lunar New Year! Kung Hei Fat Choi! Welcome to the 6th episode of ChairmanChats.
Have you heard the saying “Nothing changes if nothing changes”? To me, this is true, as if "nothing changes" we stay the same, we don't evolve, grow or get better, right? We need new ideas to innovate to thrive in this fast-changing, new high-tech era of innovation and be able to add value to society wherever possible.
For example, biotechnology continues to make significant contributions to extending our lifespans and improving our quality of life, including through medicines and therapies to combat diseases and using biofuels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
At the same time, Hong Kong is now a popular IPO destination for biotech companies. The development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) presents many opportunities for the Hong Kong life sciences and healthcare sector.
For this episode, I was honored to speak to Mr. Da Liu (柳達先生), managing director of the CRCP Life Science Fund and author of a recently published Chinese book on biotechnology investment (生命科技投資啟示錄) to enlighten us with his views on biotech industry trends. |
