Dear friends,
This year, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Deloitte Hong Kong. This is a major milestone for us. I sincerely invite you to join us for this remarkable occasion.
Hong Kong is where Deloitte China laid the foundation for its success. Today, it continues to be a critical market in a global environment. Our achievements would not be possible without the valued trust and support from our clients, business associates, alumni and colleagues, to whom I express my heartfelt appreciation. It has been a truly extraordinary journey – 50 years ago, we established as an accounting firm with a team of 30 focusing solely on auditing and tax services. Today, we are a multidisciplinary professional services firm with more than 3,000 professionals and digital capabilities. What remains unchanged is our commitment to social responsibility and to contributing to the equity and social harmony in Hong Kong.
Chief Executive of HKSAR Mr. John Lee Ka-chiu mentioned in the 2022 Policy Address that, at a time when the world is undergoing unprecedented changes in a century, Hong Kong faces both opportunities and challenges, but there are more of the former than there are of the latter. Looking ahead, Deloitte Hong Kong will continue to leverage its deep local roots and global connected network to support the success of Hong Kong in its new chapter, to contribute to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with the aspiration of making an even greater impact for our Hong Kong clients, talent, and society!

Deloitte China CEO
Dear friends,
Deloitte Hong Kong is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It is a privilege to share this important milestone along Deloitte’s development journey with all of you.
Deloitte has had a presence in China for more than 100 years. Since the establishment of the Hong Kong office in 1972, we have embraced breakthroughs in our size and business through a series of strategic initiatives. In 1997, Kwan Wong Tan & Fong, the largest Chinese firm of Certified Public Accountants in Hong Kong, merged with our Hong Kong office, enabling our efforts in boosting the economic development of Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
It would not be possible for us to lead the way in Hong Kong without the efforts and contribution of each Deloitte partner and employee. For half a century, our special and valuable partnership has been inspiring us and will continue to lead us into the future.
Working as one, we have made remarkable achievements over the past 50 years, built on a unique culture that defines us. Through our “4+1” culture – Courage, Innovation, Inclusion, Wellbeing, and Integrity – and the diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy, we encourage our people to embrace differences and respect and care for each other. With these efforts, we strive to build an inclusive working environment and contribute to creating an equal world.
As a global citizen, Deloitte is committed to responsible business practices, making a positive social impact. Serving the public interest as a force for good, Deloitte Hong Kong has been promoting the development and prosperity of Hong Kong over the years and is fully supporting the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area under the new development paradigm of a new era. We have established the Deloitte Foundation in Hong Kong and Chongqing, working to create a better, more sustainable world for our people, clients, and the community.
Based on this 50-year legacy in Hong Kong, we are embarking on a new journey. With full confidence in the Hong Kong market in this new age, we will continue to contribute our expertise to a better future for Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and society.
Vivian Jiang
Deloitte China Chair
Dear friends,
Deloitte has had a strong presence in Hong Kong for half a century since the establishment of our office in 1972. Over these five decades, Deloitte has been striving to lead the development of the professional services sector and create remarkable value for clients, joining hands with diverse stakeholders to boost economic prosperity and social development.
Hong Kong is a world-leading international financial center, and HKEX is one of the world’s largest exchanges by market capitalization. Over the years, Deloitte Hong Kong has dominated the IPO market in serving more than 1,000 listings in Hong Kong and other major global capital markets that raised a total of nearly HKD1.9 trillion.
To better serve Hong Kong and its integration into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Deloitte launched the INspire HK strategic initiative this year, with investment of HKD1 billion over the next three years to advance our Hong Kong practice and double the number of our future-ready talent.
We have a long-standing commitment to supporting the innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem in Hong Kong through initiatives including HK Technology Fast 20 and Rising Star awards, which recognize the fastest-growing, most innovative enterprises. INspire HK will build on these achievements, enhancing our work with all stakeholders in the I&T ecosystem towards the goal of Hong Kong becoming a global I&T hub.
Through these commitments, we will accelerate our business expansion in Hong Kong and contribute to the development of this city and the Greater Bay Area.
While developing its business, Deloitte takes employees’ health and safety as the top priority, following its "People First" principle. In response to a severe outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong, Deloitte was the first business entity to participate in the HKSAR Government’s outreach COVID-19 vaccination program to facilitate its talent to receive vaccines in the workplace. In addition, we procured more than 150,000 COVID-19 rapid testing kits amid the pandemic in February this year. Apart from providing testing kits for employees to ease the government’s burden, we donated 100,000 sets of testing kits, together with 10,000 packs of anti-pandemic supplies, to government institutions and non-profit organizations to support local communities against the pandemic. In doing so, we protected our people and contributed to Hong Kong’s return to normality.
Embarking on our next phase of development, we look forward to many more years of making an impact for our clients and society and sharing our vision with diverse stakeholders towards a better future, riding development trends in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
