Which core competencies do we use to assess candidates?

We’ll look at you as a whole person. So although we measure individual competencies – like analytical and presentation skills, team working, adaptability, stress tolerance and leadership – we also take your potential into account. When considered together, this information helps us find your fit at Deloitte.

 

Who can apply to Deloitte China's 2017 graduate job opportunities?

We welcome any citizen of China (including Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau), who will graduate in 2017 or who graduated in 2016.

 

When is the application deadline?

We generally close online applications two weeks after each city’s final campus "chatting corner". However, deadlines may vary by city and business function. This year, we will be accepting applications from Mainland China and Hong Kong between September 1 and October 16.

 
How do I upload my résumé? 

You will be asked to upload one copy of your résumé to the online system. The system only accepts files in doc, docx, xls, xlsx, pdf or txt format, so prepare your document accordingly.

 

What do I do if I have technical issues with my online application?

The problem may have been caused by system time-outs, screen freezes or browser incompatibility issues. Whatever the problem, contact gradrecruit@deloitte.com.cn and note your name and mobile phone number in the subject line.

 

Can I apply more than once?

You can only apply for a place on our graduate programs once per recruitment cycle. The recruitment cycle runs from September 1 of this year to August 31 of next year but applications are only open for a short time, so make sure you apply early.

 

Can I choose which city I want to work in?

You can apply to join us in any one of our offices across China, as long as they have advertised a graduate vacancy.

We have 17 offices in China including Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Harbin, Hong Kong, Jinan, Macau, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Tianjin, Wuhan and Xiamen.

No, we have the same process across all our offices.

When do I choose a location?
 

When you fill out your online application, you’ll be asked to choose your first and second choice locations. Once you make your choice, your preference will be set for the rest of your application. In most cases, you won’t be considered for multiple functions and offices, so think carefully before choosing your preferred location.


What location should I choose?

You can only select two preferred locations, so you should think about where you and your skills and qualifications will fit best and make the biggest impact.

 

If I am not currently living in my preferred work location, where will I attend group assessments and interviews?
 

If your preferred and current locations are both on Mainland, we’ll do our best to arrange for you to join the sessions closest to your current location.

If you are currently overseas, we will contact you individually to suggest alternative arrangements.


I have received an invitation to attend the assessment at your office.  As I have a disability, may I seek mobility assistance from you?

Please tell us how we could assist or what special arrangement we can make to help you attend the assessment/interview in our premises.

 

Do you hire a set percentage of local/overseas/accounting major/non-accounting major graduates?

No, we don’t hire to meet pre-set ratios. We welcome graduates from all disciplines and we aim to maintain a team diverse in culture, ability and academic training.

Like other international firms, we recruit graduates from both local and overseas universities. Again, there is no set ratio in how we hire these individuals: what we look for are people who have the commitment and potential to grow.

 

Will there be any opportunities to work in other functions and countries?  

Yes. We support our people to grow and achieve their ambitions in many ways. If you want to work internationally, we offer a global mobility program that allows selected employees to experience living and working in another country. And if you want to grow into a new area or function, we have training and development programs to help you set a career change in motion.

 

Do you support professional designation qualification, such as CICPA/HKICPA?

We support our people achieve their first professional qualification as early as possible. We also encourage ongoing professional development in line with the needs of the business and relevant to your role and function. For example, we would support colleagues in our Audit function to attain CICPA/HKICPA.
