Deloitte Wins Global Innovation Award, Puts Fighting Financial Crime As Top Of Agenda
Deloitte is making innovation waves to help clients fight against money laundering, fraud, and corruption with its latest award recognition by IBM as "Worldwide Watson Financial Services, Industry Platform Business Partner of the Year" for its Financial Crime Analytics Solution.
Under pressure by multi-million dollar fines and intensifying regulatory compliance, institutions across the globe have little room for complacency. In China, reducing the nation’s financial risk and protection against financial crime is of priority. Recent crackdowns, increased enforcement efforts and even a new anti-corruption agency formed by the government to investigate cases of money laundering methods, illegal fundraising activities are a sign of things to come.
Ivan Zasarsky, Chief Technical Officer for the Deloitte Financial Crime Analytics Solution and Technologies Leader for the Asia Pacific Financial Crime Network said, "At the top of our agenda is the use of modern technological solutions and techniques to tackle financial crime. The Deloitte Financial Crime Analytics Solution uses predictive analytics; machine learning and even biometrics to enhance our detection techniques, helping us identify anomalies, compliance gaps and fraudulent transactions with greater speed and precision."
The award demonstrates Deloitte’s capabilities to deliver innovative solutions to serve clients with quality and confidence. On the significance of the award, Ivan Zasarsky said, “Together with our clients and technology partners, Deloitte is leading the industry transformation from compliance to intelligence led management of financial crime.”
Moving forward, these are big strides forward to deliver an analytics-driven financial crime approach that gives Deloitte a market leading edge that makes a difference to clients.
As part of internationalisation efforts, the Solution will be made available in simplified Chinese for Deloitte China, a move to seamlessly help clients with work routines and reporting.
