Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the PRC and Deloitte - Joint webinar on promotion activities in China

The Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the PRC, jointly with Deloitte, Azoya Group and Sberbank, held a webinar on Effective Online and Offline Marketing Strategies for Russian Brands in China on 3 September 2020. This was the second event in a series of educational webinars held by the Trade Mission to promote Russian non-commodity exports in China and develop foreign trade cooperation. The webinar was held today at 10:00 Moscow time (15:00 Beijing time).
Alexander Krylov, Partner and Head of Deloitte Russia and CIS Department in China, talked about current market entry strategies for China with various levels of penetration, and what efforts they require from Russian producers. Alexander Khvostov, Senior Manager in the Corporate Finance Department at Deloitte CIS, reviewed the export opportunities available via third party distributors, the potential for franchise development, the creation of joint ventures with Chinese companies, and foreign owned enterprises in China, as well as import controls. Adrian Xu, Deloitte China Financial Advisory Director, shared examples of the consulting projects delivered by his team and demonstrated Deloitte capabilities to assist foreign companies enter the market in a strategic and well-planned fashion.
Konstantin Sidorenko, Head of the Trade and Economic Cooperation Division, spoke on behalf of the Russian Trade Mission. Speakers also included representatives from the business community: Ker Zheng, Marketing and Partnerships Manager of Azoya Group, the largest accredited agency for partner relations with Tmall Global and JD.com, shared practical advice on marketing goods online, while a representative from Sberbank talked about the bank’s services for international trading companies.
