Satyajit Venkatraman

Satyajit joined Deloitte in 2018 and has over 24 years of corporate and professional experience in Financial Control, Reporting and Finance Transformation acquired through multi-geography experience at Deloitte and AXA.

He specialises in optmising complex end-to-end accounting & reporting processes, solving finance and data challenges and design and implementation of finance operating model optimisation programmes. In addition, Satyajit has developed a keen interest in ESG and co-leads the Climate & Sustainability Assurance practice in Hong Kong.

He has a proven record of strategic leadership and excellent stakeholder interaction, leveraging his superior influencing and interpersonal skills.

Assurance - FSI:
Satyajit advises senior executives of influential global insurers on navigating accounting and reporting solutions, finance data and shaping finance transformation agendas. He is passionate about finance operating model design and works closely with Finance leaders to align data models related to Finance, Actuarial and Technology.

His clients include a global UK-based life insurer, a large listed pan-Asian life insurer and a leading International medical and health insurance group. He is a cross-functional accounting SME on topics such as Expense Management, Group Reporting, General Ledger design.

Assurance - ESG:
Assurance – ESG: Strategy and development of ESG Assurance practice in Hong Kong

He is instrumental in establishing Deloitte's ESG Integrated Value Proposition for Hong Kong, including design of Go-To-Market and Assets & Alliances strategy.

He formulated and executed an ambitious growth strategy including opportunity identification and business development for ESG Reporting Assurance and focuses on the intersection of his two areas of specialization – Insurance and ESG. He was one of the prominent leaders on the first-ever ESG acquisition for the firm.

In addition, Satyajit has taken on a wider Ecosystem and Alliances leadership role for Hong Kong. This role involves overseeing the design and development of Deloitte Tools and Accelerators for Insurance and ESG Reporting.”
