Yu Dong Yuan

Yuan Yudong has over 20 years’ experience in investment banking with focus on M&A advisory and project finance. He currently heads the Deloitte Corporate Finance Advisory team in China.

Prior to joining Deloitte in 2009, Mr. Yuan was Head of China Project & Structured Finance for a major international investment bank. Before that, Mr. Yuan was an Associate Director with the Asia-Pacific Investment Banking Department of HSBC where he started his banking career in 1999 in London HQ Office. Between 1996 and 1998, Mr. Yuan also worked for Shanghai Municipal Planning Commission (now NDRC Shanghai).

Mr. Yuan has led enormous number of cross-border and domestic M&A and financing transactions across different sectors , including natural gas, petrochemical, water, metro, power, mining, food, steel and real estate. His clients include top names among MNC, SOE and listed POE such as BP, Shell, Exxon Mobil, Heinz, Philips, PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, COFCO, Bright Food, Wuhan Steel, Sensetime, MTRC and Shui On Group, etc. He is also the winner of 2012 and 2013 China M&A Association Special Awards.

Mr. Yuan is a Hong Kong SFC registered Advisor on Security Dealing and Corporate Finance.
