Published: 6 December 2016

Deloitte China is proud to announce that it has been awarded the exclusive "Top Employers China 2017" certification by the Top Employers Institute and is delighted to be officially recognised as a leading employer. "Achieving the Top Employers China 2017 certification is a strong testament to our commitment to talent development, which is pivotal to our sustainable success in this ever changing marketplace. It is not only important to be ready for market challenges, but also to act ahead of time. We believe a workplace that embraces innovation and technologies will lead us towards our global vision of undisputed leadership in professional services," said Deloitte China Chief Executive Officer Patrick Tsang.

The annual international research undertaken by the Top Employers Institute recognises leading employers around the world: those that provide excellent employee conditions, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organisation, and which strive to continuously optimise employment practices. Crucial to the Top Employers process is that participating companies must complete a stringent research process and meet the required high standard in order to achieve the certification. To further reinforce the validity of the process, all answers were independently audited, meaning this research has verified Deloitte China’s outstanding employee conditions and earned them a coveted spot among a choice group of certified Top Employers.

Nicole Jin, Country Manager China for the Top Employers Institute: "Top Employers Institute has a strict and high standard to accept the participants into the certification process. Only the companies which have the real interests in developing its talent and have a mature Human Resource foundation will pass the pre-screen. And the thorough certification process determines which companies finally made the certification. The validated research concluded that Deloitte China provides an outstanding employment environment and offers a wide range of creative initiatives, from secondary benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programmes that are well thought out and truly aligned with the culture of their company."

Deloitte China Human Resources National Leader Jeane Chang takes pride in Deloitte China's various talent development programs in its continuous commitment to respond to changing demands from talent. She commented, "We have rolled out many initiatives targeting Gen-Y employees, including the establishment of Next Generation Workspace and Gen-Y Community that encourage a flexible, collaborative and productive working culture. As Gen-Y employees have made up the majority of our talent pool, it is important we listen to their needs and adapt our business accordingly."

Deloitte China Chief Talent Officer Jungle Wong said, "Deloitte China's latest talent strategy consists of three core elements – High Value, High Tech and High Touch. It is our aspiration to create a "high touch" and innovative environment to improve our talent experience, and motivate our people to provide our clients with high value and quality works. At the same time, we are adopting a high technology-enabled approach to transform our human resources delivery models to enhance our productivity."
