In partnership for intellectual insights through a decade of sponsorship of Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference

Each April, the town of Boao on Hainan Island plays host to almost 2,000 visitors from the fields of government, business and academia including one of China's top four government leaders as well as many other heads of state – all there to attend the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference. In 2006, Deloitte accepted the BFA's invitation to become the Intellectual Supporting Partner of its Annual Conference – a new role especially established for Deloitte. The 2015 Annual Conference will be our tenth year of supporting the development of this significant event in this exclusive role.

In 2010, we collaborated with BFA to design and organize a new signature closed﹣door roundtable for China CEOs of multinationals, and followed that up the next year with a new signature open roundtable for leaders of Chinese Mainland private enterprises. These are now an integral and highly interactive part of the conference program. In the exclusive role of Intellectual Supporting Partner to the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference, Deloitte co-developed the idea of the annual post-conference report to inform and engage wider audiences internationally on the views and ideas exchanged during the Annual Conference.
