The 13th Forum of Corporate Governance for China’s Listed Companies held in Shanghai

“The 13th Forum of Corporate Governance for China’s Listed Companies” sponsored by the Shanghai Stock Exchange and China Association for Public Companies was held in Pudong, Shanghai. Over 100 representatives from regulators, listed companies, academic circle and relevant media discussed around topics like connotation and extension, practices as well as opportunities and challenges of market value management. Liu Zhiqin, Senior Fellow of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China (RDCY) was invited to attend this forum and delivered a speech as an academic representative. He proposed that “market value management” produced duplicate effect on the operation management and stock price of public companies and the essential purpose of market value management are to make the market return to a normal, positive, and proper position and make the abnormal stock market normalized.
