About the Portal

The portal is designed to be a one stop solution for Insurance Ireland members to provide and access up-to-date industry data in a secure, easy to interpret format.  The initial focus is on new business headline figures for the Life, Non-life and International sectors. The Deloitte project team combined experts from our analytics, digital design, technology, actuarial, ERS and broader Consulting team, and this collaboration demonstrates the wide range of skills that are required to successfully turn data into insight.

The portal enables Insurance Ireland’s members to dynamically view and compare their performance against the market on a monthly (Life) / quarterly (Non-Life and International) basis and without any charge to their members. 

There is no comparative offering in the market, and this industry intel solution has been the subject of interest from other industry clients of Deloitte’s in light of its innovative nature.

Main features of the portal

• Data Upload – The members will now have the ability to upload their data via a secure portal. The granularity of the data captured is enhanced including channel and product information.
• Visualisation – The unique sector dashboards have been customised for each of the three sectors – Life, non-life and international and can be accessed through a range of devices, including mobile. The individual members will be able to compare their data vis-à-vis the aggregate market performance.
• Market performance commentary – The portal will host analysis of the drivers of the results written by Deloitte on a quarterly basis.
