Ted Almay

As the Chief Global Security Officer for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, Ted is responsible for physical security, business continuity and disaster/pandemic planning, crisis management, travel security, corporate investigations, and other key security programs for Deloitte employees. 

Prior to joining Deloitte, he was the Assistant Vice President of Security for USAA in San Antonio, Texas and the Director of Security for American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio.

Ted served over 20 years in the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, retiring as the Superintendent with responsibility for the state DNA and crime labs, criminal history records, and investigative operations. He has testified before the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and chaired several national law enforcement committees.

He was a field artillery officer in the United States Army and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton. He is married with 2 daughters and lives in North Carolina.
