Deloitte appoints digital commerce leaders

19 June 2017

Deloitte, the business advisory firm, today announces the appointment of Matthew Clarke and Wendy Stonefield as partner and director in its creative digital consultancy, Deloitte Digital.

Matthew and Wendy join Deloitte Digital from Amaze, the digital marketing, technology and commerce consultancy, where they were both board level directors. Matthew was the agency’s chief technology officer, and before that, chief operating officer. Wendy was chief commercial officer of Amaze, with nearly 20 years’ experience at the agency.

Drawing on their combined experience across a range of industries – including in the automotive, retail, travel and manufacturing sectors – Matthew and Wendy will help grow Deloitte Digital’s content and commerce team. They will be based in Deloitte Digital’s studio in Clerkenwell, London.

Sam Roddick, UK head of Deloitte Digital, explains: “We are thrilled that Matthew and Wendy have joined Deloitte Digital, bringing a wealth of commerce expertise to the team. Now that digital commerce is an essential part of how any business engages with customers, we are seeing an increased demand for multidisciplinary skills to help deliver on our client’s ambitions. As Deloitte continues to grow as a creative digital consultancy, Matthew and Wendy will be an important part of our plans going forward.”

Wendy Stonefield, adds: “Deloitte Digital has an unrivalled breadth and depth of experience, working alongside some of the world’s biggest brands. Their ability to deliver large scale digital transformation* and help clients right across the digital spectrum – whether that be in commerce, analytics, user-design or cyber security – is something both Matthew and I are excited to be a part of.”

Matthew Clarke concludes: “The growth of digital technology continues to fundamentally transform the way we all live, work and operate, so there’s never been a more critical time for businesses to step up to the challenge. As a trusted advisor with access to a wide-range of specialist teams in both the technology and creative space, Deloitte is uniquely positioned to help clients make the most of digital disruption.”

Deloitte Digital is now made up of over 500 people in the UK and over 10,000 across the world, including offices in the US, Australia, South Africa, Nordics and Canada. It combines the best aspects of a creative agency with the existing strengths of Deloitte, helping clients innovate, develop their digital culture and maximise the business value of emerging technologies.
