Health Behavior Change

Federal and state governments and NGOs take a variety of actions to promote healthy decisions and behaviors, enacting policies, laws, and regulations to help mitigate “unhealthy” choices and encourage “healthy” ones. At Deloitte, our consultants are applying principles of behavioral economics to our clients’ missions to improve the public’s health. Our talented team of policy, research, evaluation, actuarial, and health economic specialists are committed to developing evidence-based “nudges” that help individuals, groups, and communities to make more healthful choices and create more healthy environments.

Health Risk Behaviors

Presenting research results to non-technical audiences poses unique challenges to simultaneously make results clear and actionable. At Deloitte, we employ advance data visualization techniques to help convey important public health information to policy makers. Deloitte’s Survey Research and Analytics Center completed the 2014-2015 Health Related Behaviors Survey of Active Duty Personnel for the Defense Health Agency’s Decision Support Center. We analyzed survey results from nearly 46,000 active duty personnel on a variety of health-related behavioral topics, and used innovative data visualization approaches to present actionable and impactful results to military leadership help shape their future health policy.
