Public Inquiry on the new rule for the correct recording of the consignee in the customs transit declaration (DUT) and the inventory movements in customs warehouse
On December 11th, through an ad in the newspaper La Nacion, the Directorate General of Customs of Costa Rica (DGC) informed about a public Inquiry on the new rule on the correct recording of the consignee in the Customs Transit Declaration (DUT) and the inventory movements in customs warehouse.
A maximum period of 10 working days is granted to the people concerned for submitting remarks to the draft document; ending on December 28th. Remarks must be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com, or delivered in the Customs Regulations Department of the DGC, located in La Llacuna building in San Jose Downtown. The objective of this new rule is to instruct customs officials, customs depositories, freight forwarders, as well as to inform the general public about the correct recording of the consignee in the DUT and inventory movements of goods.
