ConductWatch Webcast

Brief description

On 20 January 2022, the Parliament of Cyprus passed the legislation for the protection of whistleblowers, who report misconduct and acts of corruption in the workplace.

The purpose of this law is the establishment of an effective framework of special legal protection of those employees in the public or private sector who make a disclosure of information and data that came into their possession or fell, respectively, in their perception within their workplace.

Of significant importance is to strengthen the enforcement of the law and policies of the European Union and thus the Republic of Cyprus through the establishment of common standards will ensure a high level of protection for persons who report violations.

This webcast will explain what the new rules regarding the EU and National Law mean for Cypriot corporations and employees, and the new compliance obligations that will need to be met.
