Deloitte named a global leader in Next-Generation Sourcing Strategy Consulting by Kennedy

Press release

New York, NY, 2 February 2016 – Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) is pleased to announce that Kennedy Research has named Deloitte member firms (Deloitte) a global leader in Next-Generation Sourcing Strategy Consulting by Kennedy. The report entitled Sourcing & Procurement Consulting: Next-Generation Sourcing Strategy 2015, notes that “next-generation sourcing strategy consulting is growing at rates that outpace the broader supply chain operations competency, driven by companies with relatively mature procurement operations that are reacting to the current external market.”

Specifically for Deloitte, Kennedy notes, “Deloitte possesses the broadest capabilities in the competency area. The firm stands out in the more tactical and operational areas of spend and supply strategy and financial strategy. An early convert to digitization, Deloitte positions digital analytic tools at the center of the service delivery model. Notable examples include its optimal footprint tool for global sourcing, suite of design-for-value models and templates, and value-based DesignSite diagnostics.”

"More than ever before, clients are experiencing increasing challenges as their businesses evolve to meet shifting consumer demand" said James Gregson, Deloitte Consulting (US)'s Regional Sourcing & Procurement Leader for the EMEA Region. "As a consequence, Procurement leaders are increasingly striving to flex their organization’s alignment and focus to drive speed-to-market and increased top-line benefits. Kennedy’s assessment and recognition of Deloitte’s investments in next-generation capabilities is a great honor, as it acknowledges a pivotal shift in the expectation of Spend Management Organizations to support broader supply chain and operations innovations."

The Kennedy Vanguard of Next-Generation Sourcing Strategy Consulting Providers assesses organizations in terms of their relative breadth and depth of sourcing strategy consulting capabilities. The report lays out the opportunities and challenges for Next Gen Sourcing Strategy Consulting providers focusing on market trends, client spending forecasts, and the provider landscape.
